Clogs - A Matter of Opinion

Okay, I know I'm a little late with this, but it seems 'clog mania' has totally taken off. Designers have created more interpretations on the old-school clog than you can shake a stick at; all of which by now have been adapted further for the high street.

Though I can't help but think, are they really that nice... or will the trend pass just as quickly as a sunny spell in England? (Although saying that, there has been an unusual amount of nice weather going on lately. It won't last.) Yes, for this very reason I have resisted the temptation to purchase a single pair of clogs so far this summer. However after a little shopping spree yesterday, I am very close to breaking this vow. These are the clogs in question:

Hmm... To buy or not to buy - that is the question. What do you think; are clogs cool or do they need to be left well away in yesteryear?

  1. I love looking at clogs on other girls but I could never ever see myself wearing them, when I tried a pair on they just looked too bulky and don't go with my "look"! xo

  2. I had a pair when I was younger and for the shame of the memory of those, I won't buy into the trend but those are lovely. I love the chiffon type tie.

  3. I like certain clogs, some are horrible though. I had a really nice pair when I was younger but then grew out of them so I had to get rid of them...they were very similar to what designers are doing now

  10. I am totally anti-clogs. The fascination with chunky shoes, I get. Clogs, I just don't.

  12. I saw a similar pair on the Miss Selfridge Website http://www.missselfridge.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=true&catalogId=20555&storeId=12554&categoryId=124467&parent_category_rn=63772&productId=1796386&langId=-1 and I have to say they caught my attention! I like the ones you found even more with the sweet floral bow.
As a rule I had not liked clogs when they came back it was very boring but there is something quite charming about this pair!!

  14. I gave up clogs. Nothing good happens when I venture out in them which is why I always admire girls that can pull them off!

Check out my blog sometimes. I'm following you! :)
